TÜV-certified in the bicycle industry: The ZEG quality workshop
The ZEG Quality Workshop is an established seal of approval in the bicycle industry. In times of increasingly complex bike and e-bike technology, our TÜV-certified member companies offer customers the highest level of safety and reliability according to the certification via TÜV.
This is particularly important in an increasingly complex world of bicycles. When it comes to leasing, you want to know that you are in good hands. Thanks to professionalised processes and a strong customer focus, the quality workshop helps to give our customers exactly that feeling.
The guidelines of the ZEG Quality Workshop:
Philosophy
Bicycles are our passion—and for us, excellent service is just as much a part of that. Our goal is to provide our customers with expert advice, reliable support, and the highest quality in maintenance and repairs.
As a ZEG Quality Workshop, we operate based on a certified quality management system that is regularly monitored by an independent testing institute. With the ZEG Quality Workshop designation, we commit to adhering to clear quality standards and the following principles*:
Our qualified staff provide expert advice and professional service. Through regular training and continuing education—including at the ZEG Academy—we keep our knowledge up to date. This makes us experts in modern bicycle and e-bike technology, and we strive to find the right solution for every problem.
Before any repair, we discuss the identified issues, possible solutions, and the estimated costs. Our customers receive clear cost estimates and transparent invoices. Any additional work is agreed upon in advance. This allows us to ensure maximum transparency while providing optimal service.
In our work, we not only comply with relevant environmental regulations, but also evaluate the use of materials and supplies in terms of their environmental impact and explore opportunities for reusing and recycling used parts. Where possible, we avoid environmentally harmful materials and unnecessary packaging. For recycling and disposal, we work exclusively with certified waste management companies. Packaging from products purchased from us can be returned to our store at any time.
*These principles are based on the quality guidelines of the ZEG Quality Workshop and are an integral part of our quality management system. They define our standards for consultation, service, repairs, and customer satisfaction.
THE BASIS FOR CERTIFICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TN STANDARD A75-S016
Customer survey with at least 100 responses per year and workshop with an average overall satisfaction rating of at least 2.2.
1 = very satisfied; 5 = completely dissatisfied.
The evaluation is carried out by TÜV Nord Cert.
The mystery test is passed if at least 91/110 points are achieved, with safety-related, StVZO-related and performance-related errors weighted accordingly:
- Safety-related errors not found = -20 points
- StVZO-related errors not found = -10 points
- Performance-related errors not found = -5 points
The TÜV audit is passed if at least 75% of the requirements are met in all 7 categories.

The certificate is only awarded to those who have passed all three parts. In order to maintain the certificate, ongoing customer surveys and the passing of random mystery tests and TÜV surveillance audits at least once every three years are required.
